I took this picture yesterday evening as the sun was setting. We have pikro-daphne's all around the house. Due to the lack of water over the years the poor things haven't grown much. Now that the island does have water (finally) I am able to water them and we finally got to see some in bloom! The house in the background is part of our house.
Pikro-daphne's can be seen along the roads. Huge colorful bushes of white and pink blossoms that last until October (maybe even longer). It is hard to believe that these bushes create a nice wind breaker when their flowers are so tender and delicate.... but then, strength does not lie in muscle alone.....
Have a beautiful day...
Be well.....
